Reverend Doctor Deborah Carter

Deborah’s early childhood and formative years were deeply impacted by her relationship with her grandmother. Her grandmother was a devout Christian whose strong relationship with her Savior, Jesus Christ was known by all. Her grandmother experienced a miraculous conversion when, like Samuel in the Bible, the Lord woke her up from her sleep with an audible voice and called her name out loud 3 times asking her how long was she going to continue to live her life in sin? That night, she committed her life to the Lordship of Jesus and proceeded to walk hand in hand with Him. These events pictorialize the deep spiritual atmosphere under which Deborah spent her childhood. Her grandmother taught her to study the Bible daily, pray continuously throughout the day, memorize Scripture, and to always have compassion on people who were suffering in their various life circumstances. When Deborah was a young girl she could often be found with a Bible in her hand, preaching and teaching in her grandmother’s room. Growing into a young adult, Deborah continued to preach and teach the Word of God under a strong anointing of the Holy Spirt. Her ministry gifts and calling quickly became evident to all. As a result, numerous doors of ministry were opened for her. As her ministry grew, Deborah went on to establish and pastor two churches.

In 2012 the Lord led Deborah to Calvary Assembly of God where she now serves on the pastoral staff. Deborah is a Licensed Minister with the Assemblies of God. She currently holds a doctoral degree in Organizational and Educational Leadership and is looking forward to earning her doctoral degree in Theology in 2019.
