Born into a devout Christian home, Clarence Jennings and his seven siblings were taught to pray. At the age of 7 he dedicated his life to the Lord, who placed a great desire in him to know His Word.

As he grew spiritually, he was encouraged and challenged to memorize many scriptures by his Sunday School teacher, Brother Mark Roberts, a gifted teacher and man of God.

In 1988, the Lord, through the voice of The Holy Spirit, audibly spoke to Pastor Jennings and told him if he would remain faithful, he had a special work for him to do. From that day forward, Pastor Jennings has had a renewed commitment and a quiet confidence knowing without a doubt, with certainty, of his calling.

As Pastor Jennings looks to the future, he is trusting the Lord to add to the Lord’s church, (Matthew 16:18) using the people of Calvary Assembly of God to extend God’s love and compassion to a hurting world.
His vision as a leader is to bring positive change to our community by serving the people, showing them the love of Christ without condemnation.

Being thankful for the many blessings in his life, Pastor Jennings is truly grateful for his wife, Carolyn, who has been his constant support throughout the calling of God on their lives. They have been blessed with two daughters, Joella and Melanie, and 9 grandchildren.
